The first mention of Daedalus, the culture hero of technology, is in Homer’s Iliad: ‘Daedalus created a dancing floor for Ariadne in Crete.’ Those few words have a universe—or universes–of significance. Daedala’s Weblog is an exploration of those universes.

I am as taken by the question, “What myth is living me?” as I am your by essay. I’ll continue to noodle on this… and perhaps I need only ask, at least rhetorically, Reta.
